Abby Gardner

Abby Gardner, MD, is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and practices at iMED Healthcare Associates in San Antonio.

Growing up on a cattle ranch in rural Montana is a long way from Stone Oak, but spending time with her grandparents and their friends in that community paved a path for Dr. Gardner to devote her career to providing primary care in this community. “In elementary school, my cousin was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which ultimately lead to my motivation to attend medical school. I expected I would eventually practice Family Practice Physician, but I discovered that the intricacies and complexities of internal medicine were a better fit for me,” says Dr. Gardner.

Dr. Gardner has a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. She completed medical school at the University of Washington, in Seattle, Washington, and completed her residency in internal medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
