Shalaka Ghate, MD

Dr. Shalaka Ghate joined Memorial Family Medicine in 2008 and oversees the healthcare needs for all ages, including health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance with well child visits, adult physicals (including pap smears and pelvic exams), counseling, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses like hypertension, diabetes etc. She has completed her Family Medicine residency training from St. Vincent's Medical Center, right here in Jacksonville. Being a primary care physician, she knows she is often the first point of consultation for all your health concerns. So she places a strong emphasis of good communication and educating patients to better understand their own health condition. She was recognized as being one of America's Top Family Doctors for 2010.
