James Goad, MD

Dr. James J. Goad is a board certified general surgeon. He graduated from Arkansas State University with a double major in French and Zoology before moving on to medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed his residency in General Surgery at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. Prior to moving to South Florida in 2006, Dr. Goad spent three years working in remote Northeast Arizona on the Navajo Indian Reservation as a general/trauma surgeon. His clinical interests include all aspects of general surgery, including laparoscopic, breast, hernias, biliary, colorectal and oncologic surgery. He is trained and certified to operate using the da Vinci robot and performs various advanced laparoscopic surgeries using this new technique. Dr. Goad has privileges at Palms West, Wellington Regional, JFK Hospitals and Palms West Surgicenter.
