James A. McCarthy, MD

James McCarthy, MD has been affiliated with Cape Cod Hospital since 1975. He is a member of Cape Cod Preferred Physicians and Medical Affiliates of Cape Cod. Dr. McCarthy is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He attended medical school at University of Vermont School of Medicine in Burlington, VT and did his residency at Medical Center Hospital of Vermont in Burlington. He completed a fellowship at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston, MA. Dr. McCarthy’s clinical interests include Alzheimer’s disease, Headache disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and Seizure disorders.
