Let me start by saying I'm not a big fan of writing reviews. I don't often do it and when I do they're not very long. I'm happy to write one for this company though because they really did offer me exemplary service. They not only did the job I hired them to do, they did it without complaint, without breaks, and without mishap. They got the job done quickly and even at the end when I could tell they were exhausted from packing everything up and moving it out of state, they still addressed me politely and with a smile on their faces. That's not always easy to do when you're tired and hungry and so I appreciate their dedication to quality service.

So we ended up having to move into my parents house two states away when a big storm hit and a tree fell on our home and our insurance company wouldn't pay for it. All of our money is now having to go towards fixing the house and we can't afford a place to stay in the meantime. Thankfully we both work online, so moving in with my folks for a few months is actually possible for us. That said we needed to hire a moving company to help pack up all of her things and put it in storage for house is being renovated and then move another banner so the two states to my parents place. We hired Peak Van Lines to do this for us, though I was a little nervous we would end up having to hire two companies as we only needed a partial interstate move. Turns out these worries were for nothing though, they came in and helped us salvage what we could and pack everything up, then they moved most of our belongings to a storage unit about 15 minutes away and took a small box truck amount of stuff to my parents house for us. Even though the whole reason for moving is extremely stressful. I am very thankful we found a company that at least made one part of it a little less overwhelming.

This has been a pretty productive day as far as moves go. We managed to get our entire six bedroom house packed up in the course of 10 hours, not having packed anything before the movers arrive to help. We have an actually moved yet because it was too late to get started, but the guys who helped us pack said some of them and if you additional people will be back tomorrow morning to help get everything loaded into a truck and sent on its way. I assume this is going to go as smoothly as today when, however I will write a follow-up review shortly. As far as the packing services from this company go though, they are worth it.

When we hired Peak Van Lines, we didn't actually do very much research on them. They were just the first number that popped up and so we went with them. We didn't know that you were supposed to do research before hand, having never heard the horror stories other people of gone through. I guess we just got really lucky though, because this was far from a horror story. It was more like a fairy-tale. They knew exactly what they were doing and even though we were kind of lost, they explained everything to us and got everything moved fairly quickly considering it was an out-of-state move. I think we got really lucky with this one.

From the start this was never going to be in exactly an easy move. First off, we needed to move all the way to Buffalo New York, which is basically on the entire opposite side of the country. Secondly, we need to do this in the dead of winter. I grew up in Buffalo, so I know their winters are pretty intense and I also knew the chances of there being a decent amount of snow on the ground we're going to be pretty high. I wish we could've done it in a better season or time of year but unfortunately this was not an option. My mother got sick and we needed to relocate as soon as possible. That said, I forewarned Peak Van Lines of these potential issues before hiring them, and they assured me this would not be an issue for them. So, we went ahead and scheduled the move, hoping for the best weather possible. Unfortunately, when it came time to move the weather was just as bad as we feared. Getting everything loaded into the van and such wasn't a problem, but my family's flight was actually delayed for over 16 hours, and the trucks themselves had a hard time getting there as well. We knew this going in however, so we weren't upset that the delivery was late. In fact, we were late ourselves. On the upside, they kept us informed of their whereabouts throughout the entire process and continued to give us updates on when they might be delayed further. This is really all we could ask considering the situation we put them in and we are extremely grateful that in the end we got their safely along with our belongings.

I have known about my upcoming interstate move for sometime, but for some reason I just kept putting off finding the right moving company. I did do a bit of research here and there, but I didn't actually pull the plug on any of them until a week before the move. Horrible I know, and all I can say for myself is that I am a serial procrastinator. I have been all my life and this was no exception. Even with this fact though Peak Van Lines was able to help me out I admit I did get a bit scared there for a while as I called two other moving companies before these guys who said they were going to be unable to help. See you can imagine my relief when I called Peak and they said they could help with no extra fees and no problem. Of course this didn't help me learn my lesson about procrastinating, but it certainly helped me with my move. I am very grateful to them for working with me on such short notice and doing such a good job to boot.

Overall, this was an excellent moving experience. I mean, as far as moving can be excellent. They were on time, got things moved quickly and didn't waste time or mess around and were very clean and professional about everything.

My experience with Peak Van Lines was for the most part really good. They arrived on time, were friendly, got everything packed into the moving truck quickly and arrived on time at my new place. One of my tables did have a bit of a scratch in it which I was a bit bummed about, but considering this was the only issues I'd say they did a very good job.

This was a very easy process indeed. They just showed up, packed what I had left, moved it all into their van, and took off for my new place. Then at the new place (I flew, they drove), they unloaded everything, said a cordial goodbye and were on their way. Straight forward and effective service.

What a wonderful moving company! They were unbelievably friendly and kept us undated on the progress of our belongings from start to finish! (we had to move about we week prior to our things and stay in a hotel as our house wasn't finished but my job needed me there regardless. Because of this we had to pack up our things and put them in a storage unit for about two weeks. We gave the moving company the key before we left however, and trusted that everything would arrive and it did. They left us know when they'd picked it up and were on their way, as well as estimated arrival times and then actual arrival time when it got closer. They were overall absolutely wonderful and put our minds at ease about leaving all of our things behind.

So my husband is in the military and consequently we move quite a bit. We've used various moving companies over the years, but our absolute favorite (and the one we plan to use from here on out), is Peak Van Lines. They are by far the most professional interstate moving company we've ever come across, as well as the most efficient and they are reasonably priced. For these reasons, on top of the fact they always answer when we call they have our lifetime business.
