Deborah Kullerd, M.D., CMD

Dr. Kullerd, originally from South Texas, moved to South Dakota in 1994 after training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completing her Air Force Service commitment. She is a family medicine physician whose practice has evolved as she and her patients have aged. Initially, she practiced full service family medicine, including women’s health, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, hospital and ED medicine. Realizing that caring for the elderly and working with interdisciplinary teams was the best part of her day, Dr. Kullerd changed the focus of her practice and sought out additional training. She is a Certified Medical Director, and is certified in hospice and palliative care as well as geriatrics. Dr. Kullerd is dedicated to supporting individuals and families coping with complex medical issues, and she individualizes the care plan for each patient’s unique health care journey. Dr. Kullerd enjoys hiking and biking the Black Hills, splitting firewood and hauling rocks with the love of her life and husband, Mike Alley.
