Dr. Erica Podolsky has been active at South Palm Beach Surgical Associates in Boca Raton, Florida since 2014. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Podolsky began her medical career after graduating cum laude from the prestigious Tulane University in New Orleans. She returned to her hometown of Philadelphia to attend medical school at Jefferson Medical College and then went on to complete her general surgery residency at Drexel University. Dr. Podolsky underwent fellowship training in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery at Duke University.
Today, she’s proud to work alongside the staff at South Palm Beach Surgical Associates to help patients find healthier lifestyles. Dr. Podolsky in on staff at Delray Medical Center and Boca Raton Regional Hospital and is a member of the faculty at Florida Atlantic University. She is responsible for starting the bariatric surgery program at Delray Medical Center and is still the program director there.
Dr. Podolsky believes in providing her patients with minimally invasive techniques using state-of-the-art technology to improve outcomes. This allows her when doing surgery to make just small incisions that reduce the blood loss and provide quick recoveries. In this way, she gives her patients their best chance at success.
