North Lakes Pain Consultants (NLPC) specializes in treating patients suffering from chronic pain. According to the National Institute of Health, chronic or persistent pain happens when pain signals keep firing in the nervous system for weeks, months or even years. Chronic pain can be caused by many different conditions including arthritis, cancer, infections, muscular sprains, back injury, or damage to the peripheral nerves or the central nervous system itself.
