Amanda W Carter, MD

Amanda W. Carter, M.D., earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology/Chemistry from Cumberland College (2007) and a medical degree from the University of Kentucky (2013). She completed her pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University (2016). Dr. Carter is board certified through the American Academy of Pediatrics as of 2016. She is a member of the Greater Louisville Medical Society and the Kentucky Medical Association. She grew up in Leitchfield, KY and was a biology/anatomy teacher at Ohio Co. High School prior to going to medical school. Dr. Carter enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and aussiedoodle. In her free time she enjoys running, weight lifting and spinning.
