Nancy M. Berg, NP, Obstetrics and Gynecology Nurse Practitioner

Nancy Berg is an APRN, MSN at Women's Health Care Services at the University of Medical Center in Burlington. Berg frequently performs women's health procedures (IUD and Nexplanon insertions), including vulvar and endometrial biopsies and care for those seeking contraception. She also manages patients' physical and psychosocial health through the lifecycle.

Berg sees the greatest reward of nursing as being able to help others and feeling like she has made a difference in patients' lives, in even a small way. She thinks of her patients as partners in navigating their care, with each one having different needs and priorities that may change over time. Her goal is to build an ongoing relationship over time with each patient, in which she and the patient listen to one another and trust is built and informed choices are made by the patient.

As a provider, Berg focuses on contraception, healthy conception, menopausal symptoms and PMS. She is also particularly interested in helping patients navigate the very real and complex difficulties that women face in balancing work, parenting and sexual functioning (both with and without a partner) as well as trying to achieve healthy benchmarks in screening for disease and maintaining health.
