Kathleen S. Campbell, PA-C, Orthopedic Physician Assistant

Kathleen Campbell is a surgical physician’s assistant at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington. When assisting in orthopedic surgical procedures, Ms. Campbell often cares for patients in need of total joint replacement. She provides coverage for spine, trauma, upper extremity and foot- and ankle-patients as needed, and enjoys caring for patients in the hospital after they’ve had orthopedic surgeries. She feels it's especially helpful for them to have someone who was actually there during the surgery talk to them about their procedure and answer related questions. Working in orthopedics, she explains, “I see improved quality of life on a daily basis. Seeing someone walk out of the hospital after a joint replacement or corrective orthopedic surgery in less pain and better spirits after months, or even years, of physical limitation is incredible.”
