Jonathan L. Kirsch, MD

I am a clinical psychiatrist with a private practice in Kingston, New York, where I enjoy working with a wide array of clients, and assisting with their mental health needs. Both personable and caring, I provide an individualized approach to treatment in a relaxed environment. My evaluation process is thorough and comprehensive, and my recommendations are based on the best, most current research and clinical evidence available. My approach to treatment relies heavily on a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients. Working together as a "team" we develop the best and most practical solutions to address their unique needs.

I received my bachelor's degree in nursing from Pace University, after which I completed my pre-medical training at Columbia University. I earned my medical degree at New York Medical College, and then completed my training in psychiatry, including an additional fellowship year, at Montefiore Medical Center.

My unique and broad background adds to my skills as a clinician and helps me to see and appreciate the "big picture". My professional and personal diversity and experience offers me a better opportunity to empathically understand and "get it" (the best one can) with regard to my clients' struggles.
