John Bibb, MD

Before joining Arizona Oncology, Dr. Bibb was actively treating medical oncology patients in the valley with a special focus on lung, colon, prostate and breast cancers. He is also very experienced in both benign and malignant hematology. In 2012, 2014 and 2015, Dr. Bibb was recognized in Phoenix Magazine as a Top Doctor in hematology/oncology. In addition, he has been awarded the Patients Choice and Compassionate Doctor awards. As an active researcher, Dr. Bibb enjoys investigating new treatments that promise to lengthen patient lives. Understanding the research aspects of hematology and oncology is a plus he says. New research is advanced all the time, and its important to be able to keep on top of it. Dr. Bibb has also published in a number of medical journals including being a principal author in the esteemed Journal of Clinical Oncology. He is one of the only oncologists in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area fluent in Spanish. It gives Hispanic patients and their families comfort knowing that I can communicate with my patients effectively and understand the cultural aspect as well.

Like the other physicians at Arizona Oncology, Dr. Bibb strongly encourages patients to participate in their own care. Their opinions and decisions, he says, are incredibly important.

Dr. Bibb married his high school sweetheart and has 4 children. He enjoys spending time with his family, watching his sons play football and watching his daughters swim.
