The Humane Organ Donor Advocacy

HODA's mission is to bring awareness to the need for people to be organ donors (living or post mortem). HODA's founders were dialysis patients seeking kidney transplantation. After noticing the extreme disparity in registered donor rates from state to state ( california only 20% compared to Ohio 70%) HODA's staff decided to take action. Volunteers, including doctors, celebrities and retirees joined in to create wonderful & memorable events to promote this most vital & urgent cause. HODA's C.E.O. (Mr. Mark Spears) did dialysis for 8 whole years before finally receiving a kidney transplant & has made it his life's mission to pay it forward. In January of 2013 HODA received its nonprofit status & created this website as a tool to assist in promoting organ donor awareness..
