Rock Island Auction Company holds 3 types of firearms auctions. Premiere, Regional and Online only.
Our Premiere Auctions take place three times a year, each over a three-day period. The items are sold Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. A Premiere Auction consists of approximately 2,700 antique and collectable lots. The firearms in Premiere auctions range in value from $1,000 to over $1 Million dollars. We hold the record for the highest selling single firearm at auction, a Winchester model 1886 that sold for $1,265,000.00 in 2016.

Our Regional auctions are made up of affordable antique firearms, beginning or new firearms collector items, usable sporting arms, and many non-firearm lots. A majority of the auction lots will have multiple firearms contained in the lot. Many dealers and gun shops participate in these auctions. A Regional Auction has generally will contain approximately 3,000 or more lots with as many as 7,000 to 10,000 firearms that will make up those lots. We hold two Regional Auctions per
year, one in the summer and one in the winter.

Online-Only Auction
Rock Island Auction Company is proud to offer an additional platform to sell your firearms. The guns and related items listed here for auction will be sold in the same way as our other auctions except there is no live bidding audience in our facility during the auction. All bidding is done absentee, telephone and live on the Internet during the day of the auction. These auctions are comprised of a wide assortment of firearms and related items and held three to four times a year. Most items put into the Online-Only auctions are placed there as they do not meet our minimum lot value to earn a spot in a Premiere or Regional sale. Again, as with our Premiere and Regional Auctions, our website features the entire catalog Online. The catalog of items and is searchable by model, serial number, manufacturer, lot number, keyword, and more. All items are viewable in color online and most guns have both sides shown.
