Yana Etkin, MD

Dr. Etkin is a vascular surgeon in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York. She is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/ Northwell and a Program Director for the Vascular Surgery Fellowship and Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency. Dr. Etkin received her medical degree from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. She completed a residency in General Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center and a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She is board certified in Vascular Surgery and General Surgery.Dr. Etkin is active in number of professional societies including Society for Vascular Surgery, Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery and Easter Vascular Society. She is well published and presented at several regional and national scientific meetings. She is actively involved in training and mentoring medical students, residents and fellows. She maintains a busy clinical practice with special expertise in aortic surgery, IVC filter retrieval, critical limb ischemia, and dialysis access. Dr. Etkin also runs an active clinical research program focused on novel vascular surgical techniques and patient outcomes with special interest in dialysis access.
