Doylestown Health: Joseph S. Auteri, MD

Cardiothoracic surgeon Joseph Auteri, MD, FACS, grew up in Bucks County and attended Central Bucks East High School where he first honed his leadership skills as quarterback of the Patriot football team. He went on to Harvard University and then to Thomas Jefferson Medical School before completing post-graduate training at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. In May 2007, Dr. Auteri was appointed medical director of Doylestown Health's Heart Institute in Doylestown, PA. Dr. Auteri's more than 20 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery combined with his extraordinary leadership skills help him guide one of the Delaware Valley's fastest growing and highest quality cardiac programs.
