Kelly A Schiers, DO

Kelly A. Schiers, DO, is board certified pulmonary and critical care physician. Currently practicing as an Intensivist in Kennedy University Hospital - Washington Township, she serves as ICU Medical Director and is on various committees for Kennedy Health. Dr. Schiers strongly believes in evidence-based education for all involved in health care, and champions numerous programs for physician trainees and hospital staff. “An Intensivist is a specialized physician who exclusively takes care of critically ill patients. While I hope no one ever has to see me, unfortunately patients become sick enough to need a stay in the Intensive Care Unit. My job is to make sure the highest level, most up-to-date care is provided during a person’s sickest times in life. My team and I strive to deliver a comprehensive approach to every ICU stay; we understand an ICU admission often means treating a family, not just a patient, and caring for someone’s emotional well-being as much as his/her physical ailments.
