DD Mini Toy Aussies

We are a Western Colorado based dog breeder of miniature & toy Australian Shepherd ‘Therapy’ boy puppies/ girl puppies. We take pride in breeding, producing, raising and selling top quality toy & mini Aussie puppies and want to share them with you. They are spectacularly beautiful dogs with quality structure, great health, and wonderful temperament. Our goal here is betterment of the breed. The miniature & toy Aussies carry the same wonderful traits of the Standard Australian Shepherds. We select from top quality breeding stock to insure our puppies never lose that natural herding instinct or ability which they were originally bred for. Most of our Aussie puppies are sold as therapy dogs, as well as family companions or “Man’s best Friend”.
We choose our bloodlines carefully. We concentrate on genetic integrity and structural soundness, breeding for a variety of sizes, ranging from 11–17 inches in overall height. Our breeding stock, male and female alike, have all the beautiful and amazing colors of the Australian Shepherd breed including red bi, red merle, red tri, black bi, black tri and blue merle. We want you to have a positive experience when purchasing a puppy from us. We have genuine concern for our dogs, wanting a solid FOREVER home for our puppies when they leave us. Our puppies are loyal, intelligent, full coated, have wonderful personalities and a friendly temperament. They will wrap your family up with love. We have a daycare service at our home and enjoy quality time daily socializing our puppies and the children.
Our puppies are born in our ‘mini house’ and are cared for several times a day. We take the time and effort to prepare our puppies for their real life. We love the advantages of raising this small breed of dog for multiple reasons. They are a perfect size to jump in your lap but also have the agility to jump in your truck. They love to travel in the car, a tractor, a camper or hauling cross country to rodeos.
The disposition and attributes of the Mini Australian Shepherd is calmness and confidence yet sometimes suspicious of strangers. They may show a bit of shyness, or appear reserved. They are generally keeping an eye on things to make sure that a person is acceptable before making them a friend or trusting them. This small breed is entirely loyal and extremely devoted to their owner, eager to please and easy to train. Aussies are highly intelligent and obedient when properly trained. When socialized regularly they make great companions. They are affectionate, loyal and can be protective of you, your family and your property. Once a mini or toy Aussie trusts in you, they can be your friend for life!
With the natural herding instinct that Aussies have it is not uncommon for some puppies to nip at other animals or children’s ankles or show their teeth at times (A.K.A. smiley face) which sometimes is mistaken as a mean streak in the breed. This is not so.
We typically have multiple litters available throughout the year. We often have repeat clientele so we offer a discount to those buyers. We also offer a discount if you purchase two or more puppies at one time.
