Anca S Popescu, MD

Anca S. Popescu, M.D., is board-certified in Psychiatry and Neurology, with specialty certification in Pain Medicine and Vascular Neurology. In addition, she holds certification in Headache Medicine through the United Council of Neurological Subspecialties. She completed her Residency at Drexel College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Previously an Assistant Professor at Temple University and UMDNJ, Dr. Popescu has extensive post-graduate training that includes a Clinical Pain Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, as well as a Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at Philadelphia’s Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She has a special interest in the treatment of neuropathic pain and cancer pain. In November 2014, Dr. Popescu lectured at the Best Practices in Primary Care conference on injections for treatment of headache and facial pain. She was also invited to lecture on neurologic masquerade of back pain to the International Spinal Injection Society in 2011.
