Forest Hills Wellness: Dara Bergen, MPH, RD, CDN

Dara is a Registered Dietitian and Certified NYSNutritionist, with broad experience in food and nutrition. She has worked in clinical, community, and corporate nutrition settings. She currently has a thriving private practice in New York specializing in weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, bariatric surgery diet management, pre and post natal care, gastrointestinal disturbances, general wellness, and more.Working one on one with her clients is her true passion!
Dara also lectures at universities in New York, which enables her to stay current on new and emerging nutrition issues. She is actively involved in nutrition research and her work has been published in theJournal of the American Dietetic Association. Media appearances include a guest spot on WBNX-TV, where she discussed the health benefits of yogurt and probiotics.
Her academic achievements include a Masters degree in PublicHealth Nutrition from Hunter College, where she received the Dorothy EpsteinNutrition Fellowship Award, and an undergraduate degree in Family, Nutrition and Exercise Sciences from Queens College, where she graduated with honors and received The Family & Consumer Science Alumnae Award.
Dara is a member of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and its local chapters.
She enjoys spending free time outdoors with her family and friends!
