BertaArt Studio Gallery

Berta Art Studio Gallery is a modern contemporary art studio and gallery owned by award-winning abstract painter and art teacher Clara Berta. A hidden gem on the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk, just waiting to be discovered on the second floor of a newly renovated building at 120 East 8th St., #202, this light–filled studio is full of the same energy that emanates from Clara Berta herself.

Natural light floods the space through a wall of windows, bringing a warmth to this urban studio and gallery. High ceilings allow the artist to fill the walls with her large scale abstract paintings, making this the perfect space to both paint and exhibit her contemporary artwork. Bright sunshine adds a cheery atmosphere to the location where Clara creates new works almost daily, influenced by the invigorating atmosphere of downtown life.

This inviting artistic space is inspiring for art enthusiasts, guests, and for her many art students, as this location is also where Clara teaches. Rows of brightly colored paints, brushes of various sizes, and interesting tools of the trade cover a large table next to her easels. Airy and open, this 1,000 square foot space seems much larger, with it’s clean minimal furniture and floor contrasting the highly textural paintings. The expansive hall gallery is a showcase for most of her larger works, allowing potential collectors an opportunity to see many more of Clara’s original abstract artworks, from Visions of Light to her latest body of work, The Flow Series.
