Kathryn H Owens, MD

Kathryn H. Owens, MD is a board certified pediatrician in a general pediatrics practice in Louisville, Kentucky.  She cares for children of all ages at Norton Children’s Medical Associates- Brownsboro. Dr. Owens is a native of Louisville, Kentucky.  Growing up and living in the city where she now practices brings an additional layer of understanding to the needs and health of her patients.  She is active in her local church and school communities.  She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.  She received her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky.   She then completed her residency at the University of Louisville affiliated hospitals (Norton Children’s and University Hospital). Dr. Owens began her employment as a private practice pediatrician after residency, where she still finds enjoyment today.  She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is proud to be a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  She is a member of the Greater Louisville Medical Society and the Kentucky Pediatric Society. As a pediatrician, Dr. Owens enjoys caring for the variety of childhood illnesses and challenges that each child brings.  She enjoys helping families navigate the beginning days of the newborn period, and following them through their needs during their early and late school years.  She understands some children have extra learning and developmental challenges, and feels comfortable helping families navigate through the various ways to meet their children’s needs. Outside of the office, Dr. Owens is spending time with her husband, four sons, and dog.  They enjoy being outdoors together and playing sports or finding adventures. Dr. Owens has been voted by her peers as one of Louisville Magazine’s Top Docs for 2019.
