Center Of Hope Counseling

At Center Of Hope Counseling we provide individual therapy is provided by Lisa Carpenter M.A., L.P.C., and focuses on the psychological spectrum of eating disorders. Goals of treatment include understanding and resolving underlying issues that contributed to the development of Eating Disorders, building healthier relationships, improving self worth, gaining ability to utilize effective coping strategies and reducing fear. Clients will then be equipped to work on returning to normal eating patterns. During the assessment process Lisa and the client will discuss additional services that may be an important part of the treatment plan. Group sessions are meant for group experiences and is a beneficial addition to treatment. It offers individuals the opportunity to discuss their eating disorder and related issues with others who are experiencing similar issues. Center of Hope offers Experiential/Skill Building groups, BED groups for those struggling with Binge Eating Disorders along with other group experiences that focus on body image. A Revisit Recovery group, which helps foster continued recovery is held periodically for those who desire to stay connected to the recovery program.
