Jose N. Nativi Nicolau, M.D.

Jose N. Nativi Nicolau, M.D., is a cardiologist with the Heart Transplant Program within the Transplant Center at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. Dr. Nativi-Nicolau's practice and research focus on cardiac amyloidosis, cardiogenic shock, mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation. He has published more than 60 original peer-reviewed papers. In addition, he collaborates with clinicians and researchers worldwide to promote early diagnosis and access to therapies for patients with advanced heart failure and amyloidosis. Dr. Nativi-Nicolau also participates on committees to develop Scientific Statements for the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, and the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation.
