In the mid 1980s, after a 12 year marriage, our owner Alun Jenkins found himself single again, bringing up two children aged 7 and 9. Taking advice from his single friends, Alun reached out to matchmaking agencies. Following various uninspiring conversations with dating agencies, feeling underwhelmed and a lack of clarity about just what they could do for the fee they were charging, Alun set up The Executive Club of St James’s in 1985. At The Executive Club of St James’s we have been learning about relationships and connecting people for 30 years. We believe in old world romance, in the power of love and relationships to move and inspire you, to elevate you and make you greater. But we also take practical matters of love seriously, like considering one’s character, lifestyle, financial stability and values.
