A home inspection is a visual inspection of the home and it’s major components. Dave Fowler at Footers To Finishes, LLC actually goes above and beyond the standards of practice set forth by the State of West Virginia and the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors to ensure you are protected. The home inspection will take between 2 to 4 hours to complete, sometimes less, sometimes more depending on the size, age, and condition of the home. The following components are methodically checked. Exterior, Interior, Roof, Garage, Basement, Crawlspace, Structure, Foundation, Heating, Cooling, Ventilation, Attic, Electrical, and Plumbing. I look for system and major component defects and deficiencies; improper building practices, those items that require extensive repairs, items that are general maintenance issues, as well as some fire and safety issues. A General Home Inspection is not designed to identify building code violations, although some deficiencies identified may also be code violations. I also provide ancillary services to include radon and mold testing. Upon completion of the home inspection I will complete a Home Inspection Report within 24 hours of completing the on site inspection. The inspection report will include all items that were observed and deemed material. The deficiencies identified will be accompanied by photos and in some cases video of the defect. The inspection report will be uploaded to the cloud and a link will be emailed to the client. My job does not stop upon completion of the home inspection report. I am here to assist you through the closing process to include providing compliance inspections of items repaired by the home owner. I am certified professional home inspector covering all of North Central West Virginia to include Monongalia, Preston, Marion, Harrison, Doddridge, Taylor, Lewis, and Upshur counties. I am certified by the West Virginia Fire Marshals Office as a Home Inspector #HI6921113-0614. I am licensed by the State of West Virginia as a “Radon Tester” #RT000608 and I am a member of the National Radon Proficiency Program. I am certified by the International Association of Certified Indoor Air Consultants for mold sampling and assessment. I am a member of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors and the West Virginia Association of Home Inspectors. I have over 28 years of experience in construction, facilities management, and inspection services. I perform “Buyers Inspections”, “Move in Certified Sellers Inspections”, New Construction Inspections, 11 Month Inspections, “Mold Assessments”, Mold Sampling, and “Radon Testing”.
