The Chocolate Therapist makes all-natural, handcrafted chocolate onsite and serves gourmet coffee. The shop is 100% gluten-free, and the chocolate is also soy-free and the dark chocolate is dairy-free. Coffee drinks are made with dairy-fresh milk, locally roasted coffee and organic flavoring syrups for the coffee drinks. The shop's all-natural focus comes shop owner Julie Nygard's life-long interest in nutrition and her love for chocolate. Her book "The Chocolate Therapist: A User's Guide to the Extraordinary Health Benefits of Chocolate" is the driving force behind the shop's commitment to excellence. The shop also specializes in chocolates made to pair with wine and spirits, crafted with all-natural chocolate, organic flavoring oils and just a touch of coconut oil to soften the centers, designed to enhance the flavors in both the wine and the chocolates. Chocolate & wine pairing classes are taught at the shop a few times a week, and the schedule is available on the "events" tab on the website.
