In 1994 eight physicians from three separate practices decided to combine resources and form what is now Mountain Region Family Medicine, PC on January 1, 1995. This “experiment” was and is a tremendous success. MRFM now is composed of 15 primary care physicians with two locations in Kingsport, one in Gate City, VA and one in Nickelsville, VA. MRFM staffs over 80 employees and more than 35,000 people in the Tri-Cities call one of our physicians their family doctor.

What has set our practice apart is excellent medical care with access to state of the art technology that is offered in a warm, caring and compassionate setting. All of our physicians are board certified in either Family Practice, ABFM, or Internal Medicine, ABIM.

If you are new to the area or are looking for a family physician, we would encourage you to contact one of our four locations to fill out a new patient information sheet. Not all of our physicians are accepting new patients, but many of them are and would be happy to accept you as a patient.
