ZiggyLu Pet Care

“ZiggyLu” comes from two great dogs – Ziggy, an American Pitbull Terrier, and Kahlua, his best buddy, a beagle mix. Both dogs were rescues from shelters. Ziggy had terrible separation anxiety, but couldn’t go to daycare because of his breed. Kahlua met Ziggy at a dog park, and the two of them were fast friends – such good friends that Ziggy was able to stay home alone with Kahlua and be completely at ease. Seeing their bond totally changed my life.

I’m Tricia, and I’ve been a veterinary technician since 2001, but I have never lived in a home without dogs. I’ve dedicated my life to animals – from horses, all the way down to mice and fish, I’ve cared for most types of pet at some point in my life. When my son was born in 2010, I realized that I wanted to be able to do MORE to help people have healthy, fulfilled pets. And the idea for ZiggyLu was born.
