Dr. Rita Taliwal D.M.D., M.S., is a leading orthodontist providing state-of-the-art care and orthodontic consultations for patients throughout the Greater New York City metropolitan region. At Metro Orthodontics in New York City (NYC - Midtown Manhattan), NY, Dr. Taliwal uses the most advanced techniques to help patients of all ages achieve beautiful, straight and healthy teeth. Dr. Taliwal received her Bachelor's degree with dual majors in Biochemistry and Economics from Rutgers University, followed by her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of Pennsylvania-School of Dental Medicine. She has 2 years of further training in Orthodontics specifically and a Master's in Science in bone biology from Temple University-Department of Orthodontics in Philadelphia. In addition to caring for patients at her private practice, Dr. Taliwal also enjoys teaching as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Columbia University’s Orthodontic Residency program.
Dr. Taliwal is dedicated to offering patient-centered care and maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, the New York Dental Society, and the Greater Philadelphia Society of Orthodontists. She is an Elite Invisalign® Provider, a distinction given to the top 5% of Invisalign providers nationwide, and she gives Invisalign® Study Club lectures to dental colleagues throughout New York City.
