Emily Wood, MD

Emily Wood, MD is a family practice physician at the Primary Care Center of Canton-Potsdam Hospital, specializing in behavioral health. Dr. Wood believes that it is important for family practitioners to understand every aspect of an individual's health, including their mental health. Being able to connect with her patients and form trusting relationships is one of the aspects of the healthcare system that she enjoys the most.

In addition to her MD, Dr. Wood also holds a Masters Degree in Musical Performance from the famed Julliard School of Music. Throughout her medical training and practice of medicine, Dr. Wood has continued to perform with her instrument of study, the double bass.
