Bendt P. Petersen, III, M.D.

Dr. Petersen graduated from The University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and biology. He received his medical degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. After completing a residency in orthopaedic surgery, he completed fellowship training in orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine surgery at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Petersen is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and specializes in conditions of the spine.

He is a member of most area hospital staffs. Additionally, he is an adjunct professor of orthopaedic surgery at the University of South Alabama and a United States Army Flight Surgeon.
