We are a team of writers and story tellers passionate about social justice and movies. We use screenwriting and film-making to expose human suffering and human right violations worldwide, especially in places like Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Our most recent work, "The Season of Butterflies" focuses on a tragedy that does not get enough coverage: corrective rape. Corrective rape is the systemic and inhuman practice that consists of raping (often gang raping) lesbians to turn them straight. In over 20% of those cases, lesbians do not survive the attacks. When they are not killed, these women are dealt lifelong scars ranging from HIV infection to unwanted pregnancies.
