Pain Treatment Associates

Pain Treatment Associates is a specialist medical clinic which employs a comprehensive approach to treating pain that cannot be resolved through the care of a primary physician. Richard Tompson, MD and his staff are committed to identifying the cause of your acute and/or chronic pain and providing a variety of interventional treatment options that offer the potential for longer-term relief. Dr. Tompson has a broad understanding of chronic pain syndromes and extensive training and experience in treating pain. He and his staff are dedicated to designing an individualized treatment plan for each patient in order to address his or her specific injury or chronic condition.

Pain can disrupt your life, keep you from work and prevent enjoyment of leisure-time activities. Our goal is to assist chronic pain patients in obtaining an improved quality of life by delivering comprehensive and efficient health care services. As an independent facility, PTA utilizes interventional treatment and/or prescriptive therapy in its approach to symptom-control, but may also recommend more conservative treatments. Procedures take place on-site in our fluoroscopy (guided imagery) suite or at the West Plains Surgery Center, as appropriate.
