Types of Asphalt
Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) is a mixture of approximately 95% stone, sand, and gravel bound together by asphalt cement. HMA is long-lasting, resilient, and smooth to drive on.
Crushed/ Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) is taken from asphalt excavated from old roads, driveways and parking lots. After it is crushed and processed at a plant, it easily binds together, making it a popular choice for driveways. Crushed asphalt is affordable, attractive, and environmentally friendly.
Why Sealcoat?
Sealcoating is a preventative measure to protect asphalt pavement from the elements. UV rays, rain, and other oils that are introduced on your property over time can disintegrate the binder that holds asphalt together. Without sealcoating, asphalt surfaces are at higher risks of shortened lifespans.

Sealcoating provides a layer of protection to keep out water, fuel, oil, and salt. In addition to protecting against chemical contamination, it also prevents oxidation. It provides a slip resistant surface with an attractive, deep black finish, bringing life into your property.
