Adornments

This is a business concerned with creating one-of-a-kind woven and embroidered beaded jewelry, textiles such as clothing, and banners of silk, cotton, and nylon, and works on paper. Susan Parks works in several media including Japanese and Czech beads, precious and semiprecious stones, cabachons, and beads and integrates the designs which are inspired by nature and the patterns and pictures occurring naturally in the stones or dichroic glass used. The artist works by appointment or sells work at a local business and in shows.
Trained with a BFA from Middle Tennessee State University, she later attending the Banff Centre, School of Fine Arts in Banff, Alberta, Canada for 2 years and the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts for workshops. Susan has been a professional artist for approximately 36 years, as well as a teacher. She has created works on textiles and on paper for that length of time and began doing bead work in the year 2000.
