Barking Good Healthy Treats

We are Don and Jane Hoffmann, and we live ten minutes south of the Mall of America in a suburb of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. Barking Good Healthy Treats were created, as so many inventions are, out of need. When he was three years old, our tan German Shepherd mix named Bingo developed health problems. He was placed on strong medications which corrected the problems, but he paid a high price in his overall health. By the time he was seven, Bingo ate very little food and wouldn’t play anymore with his toys or our other dog, a lovely white English Pointer named Baily. We feared that we were losing him.

Don refused to give up on Bingo. He learned about what foods dogs can and can not eat. To entice Bingo into eating more of his food, Don started creating original recipes for dog treats and making them for both dogs. He discovered that he truly enjoyed baking treats for canines using all natural ingredients such as meats, vegetables and herbs. It truly was a labor of love – made from the heart.
