I started in polymer clay because I was trying to find a way to make my own custom jewelry. Little did I know that polymer clay would become a passion of mine. There are many benefits to polymer clay in not only the craft itself, but it is a relaxing and therapeutic medium which is where the name Crafting For You came from. We believe everyone to some degree has stress in their lives. I found that I have less stress working with clay because of the motions, such as kneading, involved, not to mention the instant gratification of creating something beautiful and unique with your own hands. The possibilities are endless. For instance, you can create figurines, custom beads and pendants, home decor (frames, trinket boxes, magnets, etc.) and hair accessories. Once cured it can be painted, colored, used, and can sit on any surface. Polymer clay is also therapeutic and relaxing. It is a versatle medium. Because polymer clay cures on low temperatures, there are various materials that are oven safe which allows for hours of polymer clay fun. Some of the materials are wood, glass, tins, metals, paper, aluminum, bic pens (take out the ink), and mirrors. If there is something that cannot go in the oven, or you are unsure if it is safe, trace it onto a piece of thin cardboard. This website is designed to cater to polymer clay by offering tools and accessories that polymer clay and oven safe for the beginner and advanced as well as tips and ideas.
