We take great pride in our diagnostic skills and believes in listening first, then taking an extensive history and performing a thorough evaluation. Our initial evaluation includes observation of static and movement patterns, pain provocation tests, active, passive, and resisted tests, specific joint tests, specific ligament tests if appropriate, specific neurologic testing, and functional testing. Rather than simply focusing on the actual painful/affected area, we examine a patient as a whole person," determining the source of the problem/tissue dysfunction and figuring out how the surrounding joints and various tissues can affect the current impairments. We correlate all the findings and provides a specific physical therapy/manual therapy diagnosis, in addition to developing a specific treatment plan for the patient.

At mma & Sports Rehab, we incorporate the step (Scientific Therapeutic Exercise Progression) principle as part of our therapeutic exercise dosage and prescription. There are no cookie cutter approaches, as each patient receives individualized treatment and specific therapeutic exercises based on their diagnosis.

We implement a variety of Manual Therapy techniques as part of our treatment approach, including but not limited to joint mobilizations, joint manipulations, soft tissue mobilizations, trigger point release, active release technique, strain-counterstrain, mobilization with motion, and myofascial release. We are certified in performing Advanced Level Trigger Point Dry Needling and incorporate Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization in treatment plans. We also apply different types of Therapeutic Taping methods like Kinesio Taping and McConnell Taping.
