Deepa Sharma, DO

Deepa Sharma, D.O., is a family physician with Baptist Health Primary Care, a part of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 180 physicians in multiple specialties closely aligned with Baptist Health South Florida. She specializes in primary care, treating a wide range of health problems, including simple to complex health concerns such as asthma, diabetes and heart disease. She performs health-risk assessments and educates patients about healthy lifestyle choices. Dr. Sharma received her doctor of osteopathic medicine from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center in Worcester, Mass., and a family medicine residency at Overlook Family Practice and Overlook Hospital in Summit, N.J.

Following her training, she worked in family medicine practices in New Jersey and later with Hawaii Permanente Medical Group in Maui. She is Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She also hosts a radio show on health-related topics that airs on Sirius XM.

Deepa Sharma has a Clinical Focus in Breast Health and sees patients in collaboration with Miami Cancer Institute for Benign Breast Health.
