Every tennis enthusiast knows that playing on a red clay court has some specific advantages; as the softest material used to construct tennis courts, players who frequently practice on red clay learn to expertly construct points, which helps them adapt their play to a variety of court types.

The Oscar Hijuelos Red Clay Courts in Riverside Park are managed by Riverside Clay Tennis Association—a dedicated non-profit volunteer organization—in association with the Riverside Park Conservancy.
