Dance Colorado

In January of 2000, Dance Colorado Dance Studio opened its doors, offering dance instruction in all styles of ballroom dancing, including: American Smooth, American Rhythm, International Latin, International Standard, Cabaret, Theater Arts and Country Western. Brad Ackerman, founder and owner of Dance Colorado, also organized and ran the Pikes Peak Dancesport Festival, a local Ballroom and Latin dance competition based in Colorado Springs. He helped start the local chapter of USA Dance. The basic purpose of each Chapter is to promote ballroom dancing in the local community and to educate the public regarding the physical, mental, and social benefits of ballroom dancing. Chapters welcome beginner dancers and help them get started in ballroom dancing. Talented dancers are encouraged to become DanceSport Athlete competitors. Dance Colorado contributes to all local charities and popular fundraisers.
