Memorial Healthcare is proud to have one of the best equipped Gastroenterology Centers in the country. Our Center is completely digital. This state-of-the-art equipment helps Memorial experts find and treat digestive problems much sooner--even the smallest or "flat" colon polyps are visible with Memorial's equipment. Procedures performed in the Memorial Gastroenterology Center assist physicians in diagnosing peptic ulcer, polyps, cancerous matter, esophageal reflux and other conditions of the digestive tract. Other procedures provided at the Memorial Gastroenterology Center include the treatment of paracentesis to drain fluid off the abdominal cavity, transesophageal gastroscopy, and esophageal, stomach and colon biopsies. Hepatitis treatment, Pill cam studies and Bravo pH monitoring, as well as breath testing for lactose intolerance and bacterial overgrowth are also performed by our team of gastroenterology specialists
