How It Began
R. Scott deLuise was introduced to the Public Adjusting business when the Chi Psi Fraternity house in Boulder, Colorado was set on fire in 1985 by an arsonist. As President of Alpha Psi Delta of Chi Psi Corporation, Scott began the process of rebuilding the facility. After finding out that the facility was underinsured, Scott turned to the assistance of a public adjuster. Shadowing the company every step of the way, Scott fell in love with the business. After the facility was restored to its original Historic condition, Scott began public speaking about property loss adjustment and became a vociferous advocate for the policyholder.

Matrix was founded in 1988 by R. Scott deLuise and Jan deLuise to assist policyholders in preparing, filing and adjusting insurance claims. Our lean, veteran and tight-knit team combines complementary backgrounds in real estate, accounting, law and restoration. We’re licensed nationally and are members of the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters, Rocky Mountain Association of Public Adjusters, and Better Business Bureau. Our company culture is collaborative, and our network of appraisers, estimators, inventory specialists and structural engineers give adjusting a whole new meaning.
