John grew up in Charleston and is an alumnus of Porter-Gaud School. He graduated from the College of Charleston Honors College in 2007. In 2011, he graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Juris Doctor from the USC School of Law and an International Masters in Business Administration from the Darla Moore School of Business.

Prior to founding Florence Law Firm, LLC, John oversaw the birth and growth of the Charleston office of Bell Carrington & Price, LLC, a state-wide real estate law firm based out of Greenville, South Carolina. While working there, John handled commercial and residential real estate closings, business formations and transfers, wills and estates, and general business and corporate matters. He developed, cultivated, and serviced a diverse group of clients, including realtors, bankers, developers, builders, business owners, and investors.
