Hilda Zacarias, Certified Public Accountant

With over 25 years of income tax experience, Hilda Zacarías received her Masters Degree from Harvard University in Public Administration, her Bachelors Degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and completed her general education at Allan Hancock College. She is a Certified Public Accountant and licensed to practice in the State of California.

Ms. Zacarías has taught at both Allan Hancock College and Cal Poly. She currently serves as the Program Director for the Cal Poly VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Program) where graduating Accounting students complete their senior projects by preparing taxes for the community for free. This program is available February through early March each year at the Orfalea School of Business Building (#3) at the Cal Poly campus every Saturday. Ms. Zacarias also serves the community as a Trustee of Allan Hancock College where she was elected in 2012 and has served on the boards of directors of over a dozen nonprofit organizations. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. She has trained Boards of Directors and staff of non-profits in accounting for non-profits, program development and community engagement.
