I am a reading tutor who helps children with reading & spelling, specializing in children with dyslexia. I am a State of Florida certified teacher and Barton certified tutor.

I started tutoring children in 2008. I use a research-based approach to teach language fundamentals. The program is influenced by Orton-Gillingham to provide intense intervention in a logical sequence.
One-on-one tutoring focuses on:
* Phonemic Awareness
* Phonics
* Decoding
* Fluency
* Comprehension
* Spelling

The program is designed for two sessions per week. Depending on the month, this works out to 8-10 sessions a month.

Bachelor of Science in Professional Management from Nova Southeastern

Masters in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern

When I decided to pursue tutoring as my second career, I went back to school to attain my teaching certificate through the State of Florida.
Completed Educator Preparation Institute program through Pasco Hernando State College

Renewed Teaching Certificate through 2025 by completing continuing education courses at Polk State College
