Better Directions

With over a decade of experience providing youth and families mental health treatment, you know that you will be working with a competent professional. Along with experience, I have received training in specific treatment modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I received my training in DBT from the developer Marsha Linehan. I am currently in the process of becoming certified in DBT.

I am currently licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, which allows me to diagnose and treat without the supervision of another professional. I am in the process of becoming licensed as a Chemical Dependency Counselor.

I am contracted with most insurance companies. If you are experiencing a financial hardship, I have a sliding scale to ensure that financial issues are not a barrier to getting the help you need. I also understand that sometimes it is difficult to get teenagers to come in for counseling, or perhaps you are unable to get transportation to the office. If these are issues, I am willing to meet in the community or facilitate sessions in the home.
