The Federal Bar Long Beach

The Federal Bar is a hip gastropub in a former bank building with high ceilings & chandeliers. Offering brunch on the weekends and lunch, dinner and happy hour daily. The Federal Bar completes the Knitting Factory Entertainment brand's arrival in Long Beach as both a genre-redefining bar/eatery & an anchor & focal point for a vibrant downtown Long Beach neighborhood entertainment scene. The Federal features chef Shad Davis' upscale pub fare & a wide selection of specialty beers and craft cocktails. Offering weekly Happy hour and live entertainment / live music. History Established in 2013. Retro-style gastro pub The Federal Bar has helped contribute to the revitalization of Downtown Long Beach since its opening last April--most recently with the Downtown Long Beach New Year's Eve Celebration. The Federal transformed the 1924 building by reclaiming its Gilded Era antique finishes from its days as a bank (a feature it shares with its North Hollywood namesake). Designed by Kristopher Keith of renowned design/build outfit Spacecraft, the main room connects to an adjacent speakeasy through the bank's former vintage vault.
